FerretsFirst accepts all ferrets regardless of age, health or behaviors. Many ferrets can be adopted to new families after being assessed by veterinarians and the rescue. Other ferrets need some rehabilitation before they can be adopted. For a few the rescue is their final home.
Ferrets that find sanctuary at FerretsFirst are either too old to adopt out, have health issues that most families can’t handle or they have behavioral issues that make them undesirable. These ferrets are provided all the comforts of home and all the care they need to maintain a good quality of life.
Providing care for these ferrets can be quite expensive so we ask people to sponsor these ferrets. Sponsoring can take many forms. Some people send a one-time donation, some people pledge money every month and other people sponsor some or all of the medical care a ferret requires.
